Nice rig! I Really like the rust. I want to build a redneck ford truck with rust, dents, shotgun holes etc.

How did you simulate the rusted effect? That looks incredibly realistic...

Thanks to everyone.
To simulated the rust I used 2 products from Triangle Crafts. The products names is Sophisticated finishes.
First step: I used the Iron metallic surfacer
Second step: I used the rust Antiquing Solution.

Here some info about the products:http://www.modernoptions.com/SFpages/How_To_Use.html

Very nice truck. Did you shorten the wheelbase by shortening both front and rear links, or just the rear?

Thanks. Have your drilled new holes for the rear shock towers, or just used the existing foward holes? Can you also tell me how you've mounted the body? I see the rear body mounts, but not coming through the body - velcro or magnets? Once again, sweet job, I'm planning something similar for my next build.

I used the existing hole. But the hole are a little bit high and it affec the flex a bit. I will probably fabric some new shocks towers with more hole option.
About the body mount. I used a plastic plate and drill 2 holes for the body mounts. On this plate I put a industrial velcro.

Just for your info... I had to used this scale in a ouside trail ans I had a lot of fun. 2 week ago i went to the interior crawler local and realise how much my center of gravity was high. the Body is prety heavy by itself and the rack full of stuff dosn't help. In fact its a pretty fun scale RC but after I drove this one 1hr my skill go high and I was able to drive my ax10 with my fingers in the nose

Hope it help you!
