| Im just wondering if the stock scx10 shocks are any good or are they trash like the the stock scorpion shocks. Thats all. And if they do need some tuning to get them correct what is it? Im gonna be getting a honcho here in the next few weeks so I can join the hoards of honcho's already roaming the lands |

| if you compare them to losi or associated shocks thair junk. but shocks on a crawler dont needa be as percise as race trucks so they dont bug me, i still have the stock shocks on my honcho! |

| I'm getting a new set for my scx as well, probably gonna get a set of the junfac 90mm's with the internal springs. I've heard good things about their shocks on the ax10's. |

| I say, just run the stock shocks until you break one or they start leaking badly. I've had no problem with them on my Honcho, but if something goes wrong with them, I'll pick up some Junfacs. |

| yea thats what most people do I think. I just dont want to wait for my stockers to break or fail, who knows how long that'll take lol. I'm trying to see if I can find a set of 90mm's in the 1/10 scale, once I do... ADD TO CART! |

| My only problem with the stock Axial shocks are no rebuild kits. Have to buy the parts alacart. |

| The shocks work fine if built correctly. There is a thread in here if you search that goes over the proper way to build them. Much more worthwhile in the beginning is weighting the front wheels and moving the battery tray up front. This will yield much more performance gain than buying aftermarket shocks. Edit: Here I found the one about how to build them correctly. Quote:

| That's good advice! I had some leaking issues with mine, due to loosening. Totally my fault though. The other option would be the Pro-Line scalers at about $70/set, also very nice |

The Junfac 80mm shocks are 90mm 1/10 shocks, if you set them up sprung. The 80mm measurement is for droop. Of course, you could always just shell out for Powerstrokes. | |
