The heck with me, nice rig man, i suggest putting the electronics in balloons seems easier to me. But just a suggestion...

Keep up the good work!
Thanks.

I flipped the mounts for the rock rails up 90*, then drilled new holes in the frame to match, which moved the rails up closer to the body.

Nice conversion Bender! Now you need to convince you bosses to make a special diffy cover that holds a second pinion gear so these axles can be used for multi-axle builds.

Cool set up, I like the extra width. It needs front fenderwells.

What about the axle housings being swapped front to rear, so that the the ditch side tranny drop is more inline with a pig offset to the same side? Then just a motor reversal? It would be okay on straight cut gears on the r&p's- so there's no load on the coasting side of a beveled type gear cut?

Or does this notion create a conflict with the suspension links and driveshafts being too close?

The driveline angles look pretty whack going from the tranny output on the right over to axles offset to the left.

I thought it would be clever to fit a scaler with the typical axial center spun diff in the rear with KC/Gunnar longer beef toobs, and the offset Wraith axle up front for a more scale setup.

...Don't mind me, I get dreamy sometimes.

Those axles look great on there, just need to swap the trans outputs to the drivers side (mirror trans). So when did you say the Wraith axles will be available as a kit???

I figured the mirrored tranny already to be the easiest solution. Just assumed he'd have it mirrored anyway. But, He must have his reasons for no mirror job. Would definitely line up nicely with a mirrored tranny. Perhaps it does put the driveshafts too close to the links.

I went Wraith pic hunting after I posted, to see where it drops stock. Looks like it is already dropping on the left side?

I haven't tried flipping the transmission yet, but I did debate it and it looks like the driveshaft would have to pass straight through one of the upper links. I am sure it could be avoided with some creative bending on the upper links. But, I went this route first to see how bad the driveshaft bind would be. Since lowering the ride height and fine tuning the axle pinion angle, it seems to be ok. More testing will tell.

I will run this truck again, but it's going through a complete rebuild right now.

Started the tear down last night. All the bearings and gears are in pretty bad shape. Here's a few pictures from inside the axles and tranny.
Did you have the four little set screws in the top of your axle housings? You know the ones that help keep dirt and debris out?

I didn't before the rebuild, but they are in there now. The axles that came out of this Honcho are going into my Carnage Crew KOH replica.

My overall width now is about 11 1/4", compared to the stock 9" width with the 1.9 wheels and tires.

The ratio for full width axles under a Toyota or Jeep, to Wraith axles under a Honcho is almost perfect.

The first thing I thought when I saw the Wraith axles was...

I want those under my Honcho.

Can't wait to see more of your rig with these axles.

Sweet!
Can't wait to do this to my latest creation.
They don't seem to be too much wider than
the stock axles, but maybe a little more stable
with the Wraith axles. Looks good.
