A little bit too late but....
This is how i tried to keep sand and other shit outside of axle.

I greased those foams first with gunoil and then little 'watergreas'.

These pics are from my Formula offroad truck. But i did it same way on my scaler.

Thanks again for the compliments guys. I am hoping to get some action shots, and maybe even a little video later this week.

When are the new 1.9 ripsaw comp spec rubber rubber tires gunna be released? How tall will they be? I like your old 1.9 spec honcho w/ rok lock 1.9S bad azz truck. Try Mobil 1 synthetic grease in your axles.

Keep an eye out for the press release, it should be up fairly soon.

Got a few action shots last night. Need to tweak the suspension just a bit to soften it up, but it is fun to drive with that extra width.

hi have a Honcho kit here.. and the Wraith axles seems like a worthy upgrade

so besides the axles, wat are the length of the upper/lower links needed, i saw from the pics washers were used to extend the links.. so wat the ideal lengths for them? quite sure there are quite a few here all waiting for the info ..

On this particular set-up the links measure, front lowers 5 1/8", front uppers 4 1/4", rear lowers 6 1/4", rear uppers 5 7/8". Those measurements are estimated with a ruler and are from center to center on the rod ends. So, depending on set-up those lengths may vary a little.

the rod ends measured abt 20mm.. so i can use the axial 73mm/94mm thresded pipes for the front and 106mm pipes for the rear, with a bit spacer for the lowers for the extra bit of length?

sorry abt the metric stuffs.. easier for me to understand..

any other mods i need for the axles to fit?

thanx

I prefer metric myself, but grew up with inches....US was supposed to be 100% on the metric system years ago according to school propaganda...musta got derailed.

Correct on the link lengths. You can convert mm to inches using this formula, mm / 25.4 = inches. To convert back, inches x 25.4 = mm.

There are no other major issues with this build, driveshaft angles will end up steep, unless you spin the transmission or flip the axles. But, I think there will be issues clearing the upper links with the driveshafts in line with the transmission outputs. Also, flip the shock and link brackets on the axles upside down to keep ride height reasonable with standard 100mm comp shocks.

Brad , 1 beat jeep asked (when is this coming out?) ..... wroncho release?
Are you using a wraith or scx10/ax10 trans? Im workin on gettin parts for mine. Got most everything.
Setting a honcho body on top of the bottom of a wraith, the wheelbase appears shorter than the wraith????

Just read through the whole thread. Really irritated with myself for not doing this earlier. Thanks for documenting the build, gave me plenty of ideas for my own honcho!
