Those electronics will work fine. They may not like crawling at really low speeds though. I ran a stock Slash motor for a long time in my first SCX10 build, and it was fun as a trail runner/basher. But, in hard binds while crawling it was hard to finesse the truck through with that much motor.

Here's a link to that build.
Updates on my SCX10.........

They are part of Axial's exterior detail kits.

You're welcome, Brad. Thank you! Say, where did you end up mounting your 645 winch?

I turned the plastic sleeves that the sliders mount too, so they point up now. Then drilled new holes as needed. Hopefully that make sense.

I mounted my winch to the backside of my radio box. I was a little skeptical on whether it would be strong enough, but it has held up great so far.

Default Alrighty then...

This flippin' thread has cost me about $300!
After reading all that you've done in this thread, and really getting a feel for the performance potential, I just had to buy one.

Thanks alot Brad! You're like a mentor to my son and I!

Thanks for the compliments on the videos.

In order to mount the bumper closer to the body I flipped the front cross member around, trimmed where needed and mounted it back to the frame rails. This will move the bumper quite a bit closer to the body.

Your rig just looks sick. I am wondering how much better does it crawl with the taller tires on it. I like the way it looks with the taller tires, just wondering how much of an improvement in crawling you will get.

Thanks guys.

The height difference between the Flatirons and Rox Lox is nice for axle clearance. There isn't a huge improvement in performance though.

Hi, I was wondering if you had any pictures with the body off, so we can see how much you lowered the batteries and how they are mounted in the truck.
