SCX10 Tranny Out put gear ratio????

Looking for the out put gear ratio for a stock tranny with a 20 tooth pinion. I put my Losi Comp Crawler tranny in it with a 20 tooth pinion on my 35 Turn Tekin on 3S lipo, lets just say it hauled some serious azz but the motor with up in smoke in about 2 minutes, I had now idea there was that much difference in the two gear ratios...

the spur/pinion ratio you have is 4.35 to 1. To get that number divide 20 into 87. My guess is its the 3s and could also be your tire size, vehicle weight and/or your driving habits. My scx10 uses a 35t teken also with a 80 spur and 20 pinion which is 4:1 with a 2s and 1.9 flatirons, its almost 8 pounds and its plenty fast for me crawls great and has some pep when needed. If I where you I'd eather get a smaller pinion 16t-18t or drop to a 2s. Hope this helps.

I answered your other question on the LCC forum. Since I also have an SCX10, I'll take a cut at answering this one also. The SCX10 trans ratio is 2.6 to 1. The ratio with the pinion will depend on what spur you are using. The equation is:
Spur/pinion X 2.6 = Ratio
