i made sway bars out of piano wire. piece of brake line brazed to the chassis. line with fuel tubing. pushed the wire through the tubing and bent it back towards the axle. used sway bar arms off an 1/8 scale buggy to connect to my axle. worked really well. you could tune the sway bar with the thickness of the wire. sorry if my description sucks.

Here is one i have on my JK in the rear, i have a smaller diameter pianowire now becouse the one in the pics was to stiff, i think the one i have now is 1.5mm thick, i could maybe even go 1mm for better flex but its ok imo.

I dont have axial axles but chassis is scx, it should give you a few pointers i guess, wouldnt be to hard to do on the axial axles to.

Sway bars are for any type of axle that you want to keep level. They will do the same thing on a solid axle that they will on independent. All it does is help keep the truck a little more level. Really will help on the higher speed turning.

Its hardened steel wire available at hobby shops. Its hard as hell to bend, and is good for things like a sway bar.

That looks really good G-crawler!

Doesn't HR make that Alu. skidplate with the plastic bottom that has sway bars F&R built in? I'll look...

EDIT: Yeah, it's HR PN: SCP133X01 I was thinking of. The 2mm bars might be a lil stiff. ???

Heres some pics - http://www.hobbyetc.com/cgi-bin/item...#ilikepictures

I just got that from Hot Racing, but can't figure out how to install it! All the pictures I've seen are with it installed on an AX-10, not sure how it goes on a SCX-10??? Any ideas??

I think this already answered that question. Simulating scale highway speeds on soft suspension has the same effect of 1:1 crawlers/4x4's; it's not pretty and stuff breaks. Plus scalers want added realism in every possible aspect of their builds.

Has anyone seen or made shock style steering stabilizer.
