yea its bushings since its a stock class motor but i always lube it its just the motor magnits itsself cuz my esc and motor doesnt even get hot. if there was a binding or drag issue im sure esc/motor would of got hot.

mine hard to roll w. the car off but when its on it loosen up a bit. i have a reedy 55t motor. also u said u havent ran it right? it may need to move the grease through the gears and it should losen up
