This is a private Mog, built up by the famous german company "Hellgeth" which is well known for building race- and trial-Mogs

Your tube work is perfect - one day IŽll hope to be able to build cages like the Mog-one youŽve done . . .
Thanks! Those are some really cool Unimogs. I'm hoping to get more work done this weekend on it. It might even be running a pretty much finished if things work out how I'd like.

Thanks! It's probably closer to 1/12th. It's a bit smaller than the Hilux cab.

I have something special for it that I hope to be doing tonight. If it works out like I hope it will totally set the truck off!

Some updates for tonight. New wheels and tires. They are Create-a-Crawler 2.0 wheels with Flashpoints with an added section to bring them to 114mm. They look 100x more scale in my opinion.

Big Bear found us some scale Sand Ladders.

Yeah, the CAC-rims suit it very well together with the nice Flash Points

What I forgot to ask and really like to know (as there are near to 0 Crawlers in our "old world" across the pond ) - how do you build those superb cages??? Brazing, okay, but is the design "copied" from a real one or is it experience from former rollovers or is it developing step by step on the workbench???

What I do is find some pictures of basically what I like to build off of. Then usually I'll do some drawings of what I'm looking for. From there it's just building. I've found it's easiest to start with the main hoop or section around the truck. Then mount that to the chassis, then build from there.

A lot of my building just comes to me as I build. I tend to just stare at it for a while then it comes to me then I keep going. With the first couple cages you build don't expect them to turn out well at all.

Thanks! They use a 12mm hex. They are pretty hard to find now since he doesn't make them anymore.

I'm not Reign RC but they are one of my sponsors. I think the only way to get those is to buy a bunch.
