What body options do i have that will fit an SCX10 TR?

Something that will fit without extensive modification. I would like to use the stock body posts so i can easily swap bodies between my stock SCX10 TR and a future new one. Any suggestions?

There are a lot of bodies too choose from. Just keep in mind, your wheel base length and just compare that to the wheel wells on the body your looking for."thumbsup"

Whats the wheel base on an scx10 TR?

hende 02-18-2010 12:09 AM

in your sig it says ya have one .. so measure it lol

RebelRacer 02-18-2010 02:25 AM

The Wheelbase is 11.4" (290mm)
The Width without the body, tire to tire is 9" (227mm)

With the body measurements:
Overall Length is 18.5" (470mm)
Body Width is 7.25" (184mm)

Hope this helps

HPI bronco is perfect just adjust the bumpers and trim the molded in rock sliders of the body.

Heres several pics

Would the following work on an SCX10 (they work just fine on a CC01):

Fastlane's Hummer HX body:

Any Tamiya truck bodies besides the F350, Hilux and Tundra?

The Nikko FJ cruiser? (it apparently fits just fine on a CC01 lengthened to 10.5in WB, as does the Tamiya Hilux body, which as we know fits just fine on a kit/tr length SCX10)

I had the Pro-line Ambush CGR on my SCX10 kit before I stretched the wheelbase.

Get the clear Dingo body and get creative. Im surprised more people havn't modded this body as it has so much potential. Im working on a Lara Croft Defender copy now for mine. This is just a trail body here.

Thats utterly beautiful, man! How did you mount the cockpit/interior thing to the body? Also do you have any threads about your buildup anywhere?

No buildup threads this came built! All i did was add to it. Aluminum links, Hand steering, rock lights, Hilift exhaust, FJ mirrors, Bruder snorkel, mostly bolt on stuff. The interior i just made a tub from styrene and cut out the stock interior. I bolted mine in in case I want to switch to a new body later on but it could just as easily be Shoogooed in. Thanks for the good words.

Ah. Very good then. I always see pics of the TR with a silver body. Does it come painted or clear? Yours looks superior, being blue.

Re: bodies in general again, you guys recall there is a hard plastic Land Rover D90 body available right? I can't remember where to find it. Also, anyone recall the wb dimensions? Here is a video of one in action:

If i got one I would enlarge the wheel wells and lower the suspension a bit so i could make it into an icelandic version.

Also theres Scale4x4 RC's body reference thread:

Nice looking TR body! Are the headlights different compared to my stock TR?

What body did you put on the longer wheelbase?

Great jobon your Dingo! It seems like everybody really talks up the Honcho, but the Dingo is much closer to what You would see at your local wheeling spots! It kind of reminds me of an International Scout.

I so agree. I'm hooked on the hard bodies. Like the feel of them when running. More like a 1;1 to me being the body can get hung up rather then flex.
