Haven't had much time to work on it bud I did make a tow strap. One end is fixed to the spare tire mount and the other has a loop with a hook

Also toying around with idea of bedsides. The wheel arches will have to be pretty high to let the tire fully stuff. But here is what I am thinking. Quick paint shop

Bedsides would really set it off! Really unique!

Yeah I am going to pick up the material this weekend and give it a shot. I think it will look good. I want to find some fairly thin aluminum so it will dent as the rocks bash on it

That's a great idea, I can't wait to see how it turns out. I really like this build, keep up the good work.

Thanks man. I am curious as to how it will look also when done. I also have the cd case wheel wells made just not on the truck yet. Also should get the electronics buttoned up this weekend. I am trying to make a snow run before it is all gone.

I have been crawling though. Busted the MRC out for some fun with a friend. Threw on the spare Honcho tires and wheels

Did some bedside work today after work. I just made my templates out of thin cardboard.

Tire tucks in real nice.

Shot some green paint on the template

The rear will be tapered all the way to the tube by the tire. I cut the cardboard too short

Played with the picture on the computer of how I want the rear. I think I am leaning this way

Looks good so far! I was thinking maybe leaning the sides in a tad or maybe putting an angle towards the bottom to match the cage.

Just my .02

I can try it. The aluminum is cheap. So I may play around with the look a little bit

Hope you don't mind me posting, but I've been doing something similar but more like boat sides for the rear.
One sides done apart from a little cleanup, and the other sides ready for mounting. If they hold up to a good bashing at weekend they'll get treated to black paint then some stainless steel button head screws when they turn up.

No man I dont mind. That looks good. I am going for more of a full bedside. I have access to a bead roller so I am going to try and roll in body lines to look like a Tacoma bed

Between work and building a 1.1 crawler also ( Just dropped $1,800 on 4 2.5 air shocks ) the R/C is kinda back burner. I just have not got the electronics in yet. Thats all
