Factory rear 4 link I'm building my new Honcho and got the axles, drive shafts, and shocks done but I just realized the rear 4 link is not in the kit:shock: Did I read the web site wrong I was under the impression that all new kits came with the rear 4 link. or I could just be a idiot...and have to order one. |
TR's have them as an extra in the box... |

Tr's and not Honcho's huh? well SH$T:evil: |
Could easily make one. Piece of flat plate bolted to the 3 posts on the rear end and links attached to that. Or search around on here and see what other folks are building there are some that look cooler than the axial ones. "thumbsup" |
I got mine from R2j.... http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...ight=r2j+truss You will need longer upper links (same length as thew lowers). |
does the axial aluminum link upgrade kit come with the 20mm extension posts needed for the 4 link conversion or will i have to buy them separately? |
If I get the axial one what length would the upper links need to be? I may look into the r2j one that is pretty sweet. I don't remember where i saw it but one guy cut a piece of flat styrene and drilled some holes and covered the link bar to make it look more scale and that was my plan till i found out I did't have one. |
I cant tell you how long the links would need to be for the Axial truss. I would start with the same length as the lowers and then add spacers from there (if needed). On a side note I added 6mm spacers to both upper and lower links to stretch the WB some. |
I used 98mm uppers with the Axial 4 link mount (as suggested in another thread)...when buying the 4 link mount it comes with 2 sets of plastic links the short ones will work for uppers on the 4 link set up. |
I used 106mm uppers with my axial 4 link truss. Works great and brings the pinion up above the lower links |
