Shock stiffness? I keep reading that people want their crawler shocks to be super-stiff. Most of the time when I see videos of SCX10's, the shocks are so stiff they might as well be solid metal. However, I found this video where this guy put SCX10 shocks on a Highlift and the thing is bouncing around more and actually looks better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4Jxq...5A8B7&index=91 He says he used "scx10 shocks" - didn't say if he was using oil or not, didn't say if he was using the same springs or not. All I know is this looks way cooler to me than super-stiff shocks. What are your thoughts on this video poster's work? What are your thoughts about shocks in general? Thanks again! |
I haven't seen anyone mention that they like super stiff shocks. I like mine to me soft. I want to be able to lift a tire and the shock fully compress. |
In this video, the shocks look stiff as a board except when the axles are articulating: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7U9Z...eature=related Seen it in a few other videos too. Almost no compression. Its very odd to me. |
