| Honcho, My First Build.
Thought it about time I posted some details of my build as I've gained so much in the way of insight and idea's from you guys. Started off as a stock Honcho but as I'm a fiddler that didn't last long. Steering servo mounted on chassis Losi 4 inch shocks 4 links front and rear New front/back bumpers and rock sliders Battery tray made from scratch New steering knuckles and C's with correct ackerman Wheel arch liners front Panelled in the bottom of the tray back Various scale bits n bobs Many more bits but that's the main stuff. Lots of bits left to make, pull-pal, stainless steel diff guards, wheel cover for the spare.....and more ;) Also coming, HH BR XL speed controller, and new wheels. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking, let me know what you think. |

Thanks guys, nice to get the feedback The tubes at the top are wrapped in what was labelled as "brickies string" it hasn't got any stretch and is used for marking up lines while building walls etc. This kind of thing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Faithfull-250m...item5638a06cec |

To make the aerials starting from the bottom :- 1/2inch of M3 studding washer M3 nyloc nut Thin expansion spring screwed to studding blob of liquid metal glue length of thin piano wire If you need a closeup picture yell and I'll post one. I made my own as all the commercial ones are far to stiff, where these one wobble around just like a 1:1 The sides at the back are made with 0.8mm styrene cut and shaped to fit. ........Rikk |

Cheers Done a few changes since, delrin lower links, lengthen rear upper links to change pinion angle, working lights and I'm working on a stainless steel diff protector. Just finishing off a spare wheel cover to replace the spare with, I'll post some pics when it's done. Should also have new wheels for it soon, and can't wait for my HH BR XL to arrive Oh yea and finally sorted my steering link so it has behind the axle steering now as well. ........Rikk |
