Default New york boy`s honcho build!

Hey guys, just got me a honcho 2day and i am having a blast puttng it tagether! This is my first build, i have never done a kit be4.

i like the antenna out in front.. would be cool to shorten it and paint the tip red.. make it look like a "firestick" cb antenna

Looking good New York Boy, that blue really pops. I just got one myself and already changed up a few things, built a holder to mount the battery behind the trans. going to make a plate to mount servo to the frame, and make a rear truss to four-link the rear. I did these mods along with Pro-Line shocks on my SCX-10 and it really made it into a nice trail rig. Oh yeah got to do something with the front bumper, grabs things way too much.

thank`s and ya i did i put whight shrink tube on it and at the top i put a small bit of red! it looks really cool, and i made a ax and i put a scale sk8 board. ill pot pics later!

Something that I found with my SCX10 is that on the screws on the diamond plate area in the rear; to help keep the stress on the body spread out instead of in one central location was to cut a small, square piece of lexan from the extra lexan off the body, and ream a tiny hole in the center. After that, you put the screw through the hole, and then screw them into the roll cage. It helps with keeping the stress over a larger area, and it will help prevent cracks around the screws on the body.
