Default Steering difference between Honcho and Scx10 Kit

Hi everybody!
I've just ordered the honcho kit as it seems a very good crawler but I have a question about the steering. I've read that it has a small problem, related to the location of the servo and the front axle, that limits the suspension travel (if I'm correct). Now, I was looking at the instruction manuals of both the honcho and the scx10 and a I've noticed the steering set up is the same ( a part for different servo mounts) in the two trucks. So, why the scx10 hasn't this problem? It depends from the different wheelbase??? For the same reason, why the hand bros steering kits are different???
Thank you for your help!

The Hocho's front axle is stretched forward more than the OG SCX-10 kit. The steering servo's arm will hit the front cross member. You can remove it completely and not have any issues. Some has dremeled it to provide clearance. The Hands Brothers CMS kit mounts the servo on the chassis, so it don't hit the cross member.

Thanks a lot! for the quick and clear explanation So the issue is somehow related to long wheelbase setting ( since the front axle is stretched forward), if compared with the standard scx10...

I fixed that problem on mine and just notched out the cross member with a dreml and knife. Works great and no problems so far.
