Default R.N.S Jeep NukNukizer 715 3rd SCX10 Build

Well time to try another build,Since fall is here and winter is around the corner i thought i start something up.
Nothing Special here just your straight forward build with a few upgrades.
Ever since they came out with the Jeep Nukizer 715 body i had to build Another SCX10.
So i been collecting parts for some time and what ever parts i have hear,I think i have every thing i need.
I received this Jeep Nukizer 715 body back in August, yes that right August almost 2 month hung up on the wall itch-en to be painted.
Looking forward to painting it up and getting these parts together.
Speaking of paint,it will be my first Attempt to use an Air Brush,so that should be interesting
Not sure of the paint scheme but will see and I still don't know what colors yet.
I'll decide as the build progresses....
Here are some of the parts I'll be using. Most parts will be stock parts and a few upgrades...
I may take the the canvas top and cut it off so i will be able to put on or off,but still not sure.

EDIT: just checked my records i bought the body July 23 not Aug but it took about 7 days to get here so like Aug 1st

well i started putting the SSD axles together with some 3mm scale bolts..

when i open the Lock-up the complete scx10 scale bolt, package i notice these little things.I didn't know what they were you for but figure it in the manual.there are made to put in the shock hoops and the little clips to hold the wires on the scx10....

Made my self a 2mm driver from a 2mm set screw until the ones from lock-up came in now that i have them be good for spare...

Now that's out of the way here's the diffs and what i used.....
I used these Traxxas 3mm x 6mm washers i found.i love the scale bolts from lock-up but i wish the lower part of the hex bolt was a little bigger on the bottom so i use the washers i think it looks better before and after..

i use the dull side of the washer.....

here's with out the washer......

and here with washer.....

here are the axle all complete....

More to come

Be aware pic heavy....Explanation where and what size scale bolts were used and where.....
Welcome to exhibit "C"

Here is a complete set SCX10 scale bolts over 100 pieces

3 upper links from kit and use Traxxas ball eyelids

3 @ 3 x 30mm scale bolts.

4 @ 3 x 25mm scale bolts for lower links and shocks..Not sure if these holes on the front SSD axles will be used and since I bought extra bolts well i plug them up...

So I cover them up with 3 x 6mm scale bolts..

A little grease doesn't hurt just in case..Get it case like in tranny case.lol

Since i didn't have a spur gear cover why not do the spur gear and mount with 3 x 6mm scale bolts so you can see it...

and then the put side of the tranny using 3 x 18mm scale bolts...

again use the Traxxas 3 x 6mm washers on the motor mounts...Again great scale bolts but the bottom of the head should be like 1mm bigger so i wouldn't have to use washers...

oh ya used a brand new 20T pinion 87t HD metal spur gear and Hobbyking 45Turn brushed motor bought 2 @ 10.00 each

Pearl or basic for a scale look appearance...

I'm at a road block right now.I have vanquish scx frame servo mount #VPS07330.Web site says 12.3 Wheel base. What I'm building it's going to be 12.00 wheel base, which is 3/4 difference.Does any body know if this will still fit my wheel base of 12.00.....

yes, that will still work.the 12" wb will come into play when you get to the actual suspension links.the lateral link(from the vp frame mount to the axle) will be the same length regardless of wb, since it locates the axle side to side in the frame.you will just have to do some homework to get the correct length links to get to 12" wb. hope this helps?

Hey man thanks, and yes every little bit helps. This is my first attempt at a CMS panhard and I have it mock up right now with a mish mash of links, from Traxxas,CEN,Axial,Hot Racing lol.I don't want to make links unless i have to like we all do with brake lines.I think i have it and it looks ok to me.It took me most of the day and scratching my head figuring it out except for the top cross link i might need a small bend at full compress it hit the top of the SSD axles, this might be normal cause the axles almost hit the chassis frame at full compression....I'll get pics to show what i mean...

Here the axles and links all done up for now will see if i have to change things up as i go and i probably will.
I'll say it again like somebody said on here i forget who,but this is like eye balling engineering...lol

Here is a little teaser with the Nuk with Pitbull growler 2.2,I'm thinking nice and low.
NOT,they look cool stuff under there...

they might seem big for 2.2 but looks cool,I do have 4 different options for tires later on in the build...

Man this thing is coming together awesomely. I really need to get my hands on one of these bodies. Love that you're going with 2.2s. Fits perfect with the size of the wheel arches.
