hey guys! i've searched the picture archive thread, and other threads, but i still can't find the links on where to buy all those little accessories people add, like the mini fire extinguishers, mini ice chests, jacks, etc.

Using same length links pinion angle would be affected depending on shock length, but is possible I think.

Seems like a good idea for clearance. What size?

Just make sure you have some beefy rod ends, seem like being bent puts more strain on them I used to run them front and rear but kept breaking the front ones so now I'm bent in the back straight in th front, works good.

Traxxas TRA1942, Beefy-est rod ends I've used so far, they WILL take a brushless wraith bouncing off rocks I know that it a fact

Made this battery and radio gear mount out an $.89 piece of flashing from Home Depot.

Strengthen you factory drive shafts with parts you already have!

First find this parts tree and cut the end off where the hex tool is pointed to look like the piece on the right. you'll have to shave the things off the sides too. I used a utility knife for all the cutting.


Next shove into the male part of the drive shaft and cut it leaving just enough to be pulled back out with pliers.


This mod will make your shaft much stronger by not allowing the inner shaft to collapse and twist. It also slightly enlarges the inner shaft making it a close tolerance fit in the outer shaft. Adding a light coat of grease will help them move freely.

This isn't really a mod. I'm just showing it can be done. It would have saved me over $50 had I known this could be done when I upgraded to beadlock rims.

The Stock tire can be removed pretty easily using a heat gun and some HEAVY leather gloves.


You have to heat up your rims a lot! These pics show you what your rim should and should NOT look like when doing this.
Rims on left= to much heat (could damage tires)
Rims on right are perfect (edge of rims just starting to bubble)



Note: DO NOT point gun directly at tire! Once the rims edge start to bubble break the bead of the tire and tear off the tire. If you are careful the tire shouldn't rip or get damaged. After a couple tires you'll be a pro!

^Or you could do it the easy way and put them in the oven and not destroy the rims like you did with a heat gun.

^ Or you could do it the cleaner way. Boil your wheels and tires. It will wreck the foams, but not the wheels or tires.
Or if the tires are worn out, then you can cut the tire off and save your foams and then boil the wheels.

^i think I might be the only one who bakes sets still? I bought an oven at a garage sale and keep it outside for the smell in the wash room in my opinion cleanest non-wrecking way to do this other than acetone.

Good thing I wasn't worried about the rims. How long and what temp do you bake them at?

I've heard that boiling can ruin the tires

No, it can ruin the foams.
