Anyone got a front motor mount? If I understand correctly this the GCM front motor mount will only work on the axial ax-10 frame and not the scx frame due to its taper? http://gcmachine.ca/index.php/shop/motormounts Has anyone ever tried to move the motor assembly forward on an scx and installed a tranfer case where the old motor assembly was? |
i would think that having the servo over that far would cause interference with the servo and frame rails. |
I guess I may have to switch to a cross canyon chassis to get it to work. |

http://gcmachine.ca/index.php/rcstuff/brute take a look at the motor mount and t-case (12th and 13th photo down), that is what I am asking about. Wondering if someone had a setup on the scx chassis like that. Because of the taper, I don't think it can be done on the scx chassis and therefore would have to get the cc chassis. I want to move the motor assembly forward so I dont have to make any changes to the bodies interior to keep it scale. I have the new bright JK. So, it looks like I will be ordering some parts on payday! |
oh ok. i was thinking servo mount.. not motor haha my bad. i wouldnt see a problem. you may need to set the motor up just a little but i'm not 100% sure. |

Here's my FJ using an R2 trans and Killer T-case. T-case mount to stock SCX skid http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...3&d=1279514720 Mount for R2 to SCX chassis. I've done this similar mount with an Axial trans for a customer. The R2 set up requires that the steering servo be mounted on the right side or across the chassis in front of the motor. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...5&d=1269578523 |
That is sick! I just got the R2 trans and now I think I may have to find away to do this. I may have to remove the servo now that I mounted it in the framrails. Love this hobby! |
