How I mounted the body: Front with Velcro and a piece of Styrene

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/pictu...ictureid=13336

Back with an Aluminum link, a spacer and a couple of long screws that mount the shocks to the shock hoops, easy to take the body on and off. The bed goes on the inside of the shock hoops where you would secure the Honcho bed with the bodly clips.

Still more to come thanks for looking"thumbsup"

Looks good! Thanks for the body mounting detail shots!

Tedro 07-25-2010 05:03 PM

Thanks, no prob. I dont know if anybody else has done it this way it works pretty good.

Tedro 10-09-2010 06:37 PM

Couple of updates, I changed this truck completely:mrgreen: Now it has

Novak 3s Goat 18.5t Crawler System:twisted:
2s 2200 mah Lipo
2.2 Proline TSL's
2.2 Axial Rocksters
Traxxas Big Bores
JunFac Shafts:evil:

This truck is strong for having a brushless motor, I cut the front bottom part of the front bumper for more of an approach angle when I had the 1.9s, just waiting to see if a deal goes through for a front stinger bumper and a rear bumper from Dave at DHFab"thumbsup".

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...wampers007.jpg

Almost as much articulation as my GF's AX10

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...wampers008.jpg

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...wampers006.jpg

Still gotta work on the wheels base a bit, and the ride height on the front. Plan on re-painting the truck a red or a Light gun-Metal from Tamiya. Still have to install the LEDs, just need tofind the screws for the rear taillight lenses. These tires are awesome, size, looks, performance, they got it all.

Changed the shafts because I snapped both the stock plastic ones. Jun Fac is not recommended at all, the set screw that hold the pins in on the CVD seems to fall out more than it should even with locktite. Im not very happy with this company, sent a few emails concerning this matter an no reply at all. I plan on getting some punisher shafts from RC4WD. The truck is at a stand still due to the outdrives breaking.

My junfacs seem pretty good so far 1month of abuse and no
Issue no locktite used either

While Im waiting for my parts to arrive, I decided to my Yota a facelift, I sanded down everything and gave it some spray, the color is called Red Pepper.

I also went ahead and removed the gray anodized color from the rings, they looks much better. I want to take them off at polish them up a little bit.

I like the new color even though i like black. "thumbsup"

How do the TSL's work for you? I was thinking of getting a set of 1.9s for mine along with a full set of Pro-line Titus.

Tedro 10-15-2010 01:06 PM

Thanks, I really like these tires. They are very impressive on just about any terrain. Just waiting to try them in the mud:twisted:

ynmech 10-15-2010 06:51 PM

So how bad do those tires rub? I have the 1.9's on my sons rig, they work great.

LOL I have to do some triming on the body if I want to keep that ride height, I haven done yet cuz Im debating whether or not to get the flares for the fenders. If I get them Ill trim it all together.

Tedro 10-20-2010 02:53 PM

Fianlly got some play time with the truck after doing some mods to the drivetrain (punsiher shafts and steel trany outdrives. This thing is a blast to drive! Just enough wheel speed, and plenty of torque for a brushless motor.

Also got some bad arse bumpers from Dave at DHFab in a trade. The bumpers are super strong and look really great, thanks Dave"thumbsup" all I need to get is a 3Racing winch and Im set:mrgreen: Put some stickers on the back window too.

Here are some pics of my run today (sorry for the crappy pics I was using my cell phone)

Its been along time since I had posted on my thread...

My truck has completely changed. Since my last post it sat for a month or so. Just to busy with the family. I got bored with the old look. I switched the electronics out of it too.

Currently running:

Built Trans Robinson Gears
Axial Axle CVDs
GPM Aluminum 4 link

HH BRXL and 35T Torquemaster on 3s 3000 Turnigy Lipo, soon Ill end up relocating the Battery
"CKRC Special" MG946R 208oz Torque Metal Gear Servo

90mm Scale Shocks
Mayhem 7 1.9 Aluminum Beadlock Wheels and RC4WD 1.9 Rok Lox, 6oz in each front wheel and 4oz in each rear wheel

Repainted it black, I ordered a bolt on Flat Bed and Slider kit from MG200. He does some awesome work.

Considering on ordering a dual motor plate I've seen on eBay and putting another HH 35t Torquemaster.

Enough talk, now on to some pics. Let me know what you guys think"thumbsup":

Paint looks great, tires are nice....but 1.9 TSLs would be way better and you could lower the ride height and still get some suspension travel.

EDIT: Looks alot better with teh 1.9 RokLox. :)

I agree with rok lox, the truck was way too high and top heavy.
