Default runaway truck?

Just brought home a new SCX10 Honcho, works pretty good however when I switch to reverse on the tx it takes off foward at full speed. Probably pilot error but don't want to wreck it too soon.
thanks dave

you just need to adjust the throttle control on your transmitter, its a lil knob

one is for steering and one is for speed

Default Runaway truck

Thanks for the shout, dumb and dumber here. I just figured out that the trigger is two way, and forward IS reverse. Pretty embarasing. These are a lot different than planes.

Never would have guessed that pulling the trigger to go forward wasn't natural instinct.
Guess we all learned something with this.

Then again, If you are used to it and like the rig to go forward when you push the trigger away from your hand, you can switch the wires around on your motor and the motor will be reversed.

Voila!

There is a reverse servo/esc switch on the transmitter but I think it is best to use the throttle as it should be and not reversed.

If its what he is used to(not what you are used to) there is no reason not to go with it. It's a simple trigger switch. It moves either away or toward the grip. That, can be made to work whichever way we want...

re-voila this

Take it easy Cruiser...

I just said he can use the switch to reverse motor or still use the radio as it is and get familiar with pistol grip radio.

Default Didn't mean to start a riot.

Having never picked up a car transmitter and having NO instructions come with the car and used to aircraft transmitters. I was using the switch on the TX to change directions, not knowing it is a throttle reverse which put into play a result different than I was expecting. Nice way to be welcomed into the hobby.

Learning is half the fun, as long as it doesn't get too expensive in the process . Enjoy your new hobby!

The flipoff smiley is for sacastic ribbing. Don't take it personal guys.

Remember the rules:

RCC is a fun place, we try not to keep people from having a good time so just remember a couple things.
1) You gotta be able to take some ribbing around here to survive.
