| AX10 skid plate on an SCX10?
Pardon my n00b question, but can an AX10 skid plate be used in place of the stock SCX10 skid plate on an SCX10? I've tried both Google and the clumsy RCCrawler search and didn't find an answer to that question.

The AX10 skid plates are wider than the SCX skid plates. They can be used but you will have to shave them down a little bit. All of the bolt holes line up perfect. Your link placement will be off also. I run leafs in 2 of my SCX10's with AX10 skids. I have found that the STRC triangulated skid works best. The other one that I have is a East End double triangulated skid, this one takes a little more work to make fit because it is to thick to fit between the channel of the frame rails. Again a little machining and it will bolt right in. |

Excellent. Thanks cave-man. I have an East End double triangulated skid as well and would like to reuse it on a custom tubular that's being built around an SCX10 setup. I don't have the rig in hand, so that's why I asked.
