Default Offset on Stock rims...

Title sums up my question, the reason behind me asking is im going to a 2.2 rim and tire combo but would like to get it a little wider in the process.. Does that make sense!?? I suppose another option is for wideners.. but then the question lies in where to go for those and how much wider!!

If anyone has images of stock versus widened, front or rear, with what was used would be most awesome. Side shots obviously wont cut it...

will be sure to post up pics as new parts arrive and do a decent write up of before and after..

Thanks in advance guys!
