That ford is bad ass u just need to lower the body just a bit. If u want a lifted look do it the right way by doin the suspention.

the main thing is to have good clearance for your tires. In other words, you dont want the body to sit too low.

Can't believe how good the tsl's are in the snow. Just need enough wheelspin to clear the treads just like the fullsize.

Awsome build! I am glad to see people are still suing the SCX10 kit I think I would throw up if saw yet another HONCHO build. Is it just me or does that truck look funny (Honcho) and there are way to many of them out there. I like the idea of building the kit then adding your own body so your truck doesn't look like everyone elses. Any ways I am rambeling. Sweet Build dude and props for making something that is your own and not a cookie cutter Honcho

I'm totally with you on the honchos. They just look all the same. The great thing is that the wheelbase is close to most other r/c models so they can all be used with a bit of work.

You should see my SCX10 it's almost two years old now! Chevy blazer with all the scale goodies!

My next project for it is installing the 3racing led lights. I haven't test the theory yet but the plan is to traced the outside light decals and mask the inside, then clean the paint off behind each decal and install the led inside. The idea is that the light will glow through the decal, plus the imperfect paint edges will be hidden behind the decal.

If you can visualize both the tail and side marker light glowing, 50% and 100% under full braking.

Just need to test how much led light glows through the decals.

The first test vid. I'm still working on a good mount showing the full side of the truck and stabilizing it for smoother quality. It might be very clear with full day light.

Hey, here´s my Red king and the second One is called "Bastard King". We have a team here in Chile with only Fords F-100 (proline Body)

I´m building now a tube frame for my Ford, so will be posting some pictures soon.

An actual team of f-100's? That is sick.
How'd you get your wheels to clear the body width? Use spacers or just wheel offset?

no problem! it raises the cg a little but with a scaler its not really too big of a deal. just have to tune your suspension a little. thanks!

Default FORD RAPTOR body on SCX10 Honcho - Jconcepts 0084

Well, after another RCC member (thanks Kujo) showed me his build on Scale4x4rc.org using the Jconcepts Raptor for the Revo body, he advised methat the Jconcepts Slash 2wd (aka #0084) would fit almost exactly on the Honcho.

So, I ordered up a body and he was right. It should turn out nicely. Here are some pics to show how it fits on the Honcho. The #0084 wheelbase is around 12 inches, about 19.25 long, and about 8.5 wide at the fenders.

The body is just placed on the posts right now, I would like it to sit a tad lower to be more scale looking. Hope this helps anybody that was wondering what would fit.

That looks great! Guess I probably could've changed the links to get the honcho wheelbase. I'll probably end up getting a slash and make a scale raptor.

Does anyone know if the 1973 blazer body from proline will work on the honcho?
