Default servo exploded today....and servo saver?

well, I was driving back to my car, and it gave off a LOUD pop, the whole thing shook whenever I turned including a nice sounding gritty popping sound.

Well, the internals grenaded. I called traxxas at 8PM EST and they are sending me a new kit with a servo saver.

Any body used a servo saver on a SCX10?

Anything metal is better than plastic gears. JR or Hitec servos only for me.

waterproofing a servo like a 645 is easy.

another good choice is a Savox 251 MG 222 oz torque and just at $40

Stick with hitec, jr or futaba. ANY servo gan be packed with dielectric grease, reassembled , O ring stuck on output and be waterproof. Or just dip or spray Plastidip on it and cut out the output.

Here is a clip on how to water proof a servo and coincidentally its a 645 hitec and this is by far the best way to go if ya dont wanna splurge for the higher end hitecs and x2 on the post how this servo is rugged I love it

I agree on the upgrade. I used to have a Jato and I kept at least 2 extra sets of servo gears on hand and it was a 2wd stadium truck. The traxxas servos are cheap and the gear kits are cheap, but its a headache to have to deal with. Hitec 5645MG!
