Hey guys, time for a little update. Went on a trail run with my buddy and got some sweet pics, also some new mods, check it out.

Got some new RC4WD 1.9 Mud Slingers

They are awesome, a little on the small side, but great on rocks and amazing in the mud!!!

And stopped by Radioshack, just curious what kind of LEDs they had, and this is what I came home with.

Let me know what you guys think. I also bought a serperate battery for my winch. Its a 7.4v lipo 2s for $13 at the lhs. This is how I have it set up now. the black battery is for the rig, blue battery is for the winch, and grey box attatched to the blue battery is the wireless reciever box for the winch. its very cluttered!

All the weight in the front, which has its disadvantages and advantages. I want to move it farther back to balance it out but it is difficult with the Honcho body. Any suggestions?

Will your main battery fit width wise accross the frame right in front of the trany? Or you could make couple plates for the top side of the sliders and move main battery to one side "opisite of motor" and the other battery on the other side, etc...

The winch battery will fit going across the frame, i though about putting it behing the gears sitting on the frame rails. And no, the main battery wont fit width wise, its a little too long

really like what you have done with your rig what about the shocks you running them stock? and for your buddy with the hummer his rig would tits with some plastic inner lining fender he should be able to pick every thing from the LHS. and for any one running LED's what light you can see coming out of the back of the light housing is light lost tape off and paint black did it to my light and wow big difference and looks cleaner.

Im running stock shocks now, looking to upgrade but i dont know what to pick. the lights have a little bit of light coming out of the back, but after i installed them, i used black hobby paint and covered the back of the housing to cover up where the light was seeping through.

Looking good i like the mudslingers on there. As for the clutter have you thought about running just one battery? It has obvious disadvantages but will definitely help with space.

yea, ive thought about that, but when on the trail the other day, it was nice to be able to run the winch all i wanted and not worry about the main power source. im thinking about puting the battery between the body posts on the read frame under the honcho bed, to help even out weight and keep low center of gravity.

Its ok man. I'm debating on the pro-line ones, or the scale 100mm silver shocks, but I heard that they leak. And I'm also looking at new drive shafts and a new remote and reciever.

Mudslingers rock other then the clearance with the size. Learn to drive with them and you got a nice set of shoes..
I really like my Gmade shocks. Run them sprung or droop with different sizes to choose from.

Update: made new exhaust since the other one got ripped off by the rocks. Also made a solid aluminum weight that slides in between the frame rails right next to exhaust and rear bumper. And made the wireless winch reciever waterproof with a baloon.

and with the added weight in the back, i get better articulation and it helps keep all the tires on the ground.

let me know what you guys think.
