Thanks, i like them there better too. I have my battery, servo, spare battery for winch, ESC, and wireless winch reciever all located in front of the transmission, so the frame was very front-heavy and it never allowed the rear axle to get enough flex because there was no weight to compress the springs. after the weight added in the back it almost balanced the frame and helped the flex of the rear end.

I was searching around the SCX10 part of the forum and i kept coming across threads where people used cool whip containers to make inner fender wells. I didnt have any cool whip, but I did have an old container from soup from Chinese food the other night outside in the recycle bin, so I cleaned it up and gave it a shot.
Before

mock fitted

mounted down

Looks pretty good in my opinion. I like it. I just need to adjust it to fit the body a little more and trim out some peices, and then its all good.

comments or questions welcome, let me know what you guys think.

Hey guys, This morning I helped my dad with the 1:1 wrangler with a axle swap, the axle housing was cracked and we found a complete set of front and rear axles from a newer jeep on craigslist for $100. So we rebuilt them over the past few weeks, and installed just the front one this morning. Here is a pic of the old one coming out.

FOR THOSE OF YOU READING THIS OR KEEP UP WITH MY THREAD THAT HAVE A SCX10 ""RTR"" AND WANT A METAL STEERING UPGRADE KIT!!!! Dont buy the Axial stock replacement one, I bought this kit straight from Integy in China. It comes with metal spindles, and metal links for steering, all for $22!!!! Here is the link

The stock Axial replacement upgrade kit is $20, so why not get this one!?!?!!?!?! it took me about 10 mins to install, and after a quick run on the rocks, its awesome!!! Here are some pics.

Ok, so im sure you guys have noticed that my truck hasnt had a bumper for quite some time, and its been irritating that my new RC4WD one hasnt come in yet, so I tool the other RC4WD one that didnt fit and fabricated mounts to make it all work out. I needed a metal that could bend, and is rather thick to start with. So I took some old side panels from an old HP desktop computer I had laying around and started hacking.

added the winch, and adjusted everything up and it fits great, doesnt budge!!!

and since I had the old shackle eyelits from the original bumper before i modified it, I cut them and put them on the rear.

I am very happy with the new set up. And I thought I would try the "Soda Can Trick", remember this is a stock suspention RTR.

I cant wait for the event on sunday. Like I said, I just ordered a new New Bright Jeep body, and plan on scaling it just like my 1:1.

Update, entered in a competition on Sunday with my two buddies, and I think we did rather well for our first crawler/scaler comp.
Here are the three rigs

And some pix of mine in the crawling course.

And I came in 2nd place for the scaler/crawler. Won first place in the tractor pull, and third on the rock course.

Overall, our team of three did very well. The yellow H2 got 1st, I got 2nd, and the silver Dingo got 3rd. Pretty good for three noobs to crawling for their first event imo

My lhs doesn't stock stuff like that either, online is the way to go unless you can make it yourself
