Are you using a light kit or did you just wire the LEDs to a 9V bat?

Your Rig is looking really good. Going to get a roof rack next for mine.

Thanks.

Thanks shcuck, its just some leds from ebay and radioshack running off a 9V battery. When the new JK body comes in, ill prob go with a light kit just to make everything easier and cleaner.

Awesome!! Thanks so much.

Yeah your gonna love the JK body, I am working on mine now trying to get it completed. Its just to bad that people are getting so greedy with the JK bodies and selling them for so much money. You can buy the whole RC car at Radio schack for Like $60

Again, awesome work on this rig, I have been following it since the begining and I love it!!

Are the headlight lenses perminatly painted brown for mud, or can you clean them off to have clear headlight lenses???
looks good , what grit sand paper did you use to sand the old paint off?
I see you chose to use body pins to hold your body on, idk if im going to use body pins, or if im going to mount it using velcro or something on the inside.

The mud will come off of the lenses it just takes a little sanding and buffing but they clean up nice.

This is what the lenses and windshield looked like before I sanded them and buffed them back

And this is after, the flash made them look hazy but they are nice and shiny and clear

I was thinking about the velcro attachment too, but I wasnt sure if it would hold tight enough during a roll over so I just went with the standard body pins. The rear ones I will cover with a cooler and other scale accessories that will be velcroed in and the front I will hide a little with the Hi-Lift jack

man, those things are amazing. i just got my body mounted tonight.
started sanding the lenses and body earlier, and mounted some accessories in the interior as well. the fake mud is pissing me off though oh well, itl look awesome when im done. i bought some orange leds from radioshack, and they fit PERFECTLY in the stock front turn signal openings.

you can barely see the front turn signals in the pic, and the wires coming out of the headlight buckets, and a red gas can in the back already mounted. and all i have left to do is finish the lenses, and body work, paint, and find longer rear links to fill out the rear fender wells, its gonna look sweet. i was a little worried about the suspention travel, but with the inner fenders being open underneath, its gonna be awesome

Looks awesome. I sanded my body with 320 and finished with 500 before primer. The mud can be frustrating, but its worth it once it is all done. And its better than giving some d-bag on fleabay two and a half times what he paid for it, that just pisses me off that people try to take advantage of folks like that.

Anyway, its looking good and you will be done sanding before you know it.

Oh yeah, and for the rear links, I just made mine out of 6/32 all thread and 7/32' aluminum tubing and end links. They look great and you can make them exactly the size you need.

yea, its coming along. i actually bought two bodies haha. i ordered one off ebay about a week and a half ago, and it isnt supposed to be here for another two days. and i stopped by radio shack today and they had one last new bright jeep for $20!!!!!!!!!!! so i picked it up, and now im thinking about doing two bodies. i just gotta wait until the other one comes in to start working on that again, and the frustration can start all over again

and still working on windshield

awesome flex!, i love it, it only rubs at full flex

more pics to come, and I need to make a video. going to a few places in the morning to get some stuff to finish lights, and finishing touches

Used MagLite light buckets and lenses for headlights, and used airplane LEDs for the fender lights. Ordered the LEDs for the headlights

LEDs in the tails

going to be making mounts for this later, cant wait

comments welcome, thanks guys!!!
