Default 4 wheel steer?

Just ordered my own trail honcho and already thinking of things to do. Going to enjoy it first for a while then start the fun. I've seen the 6x6 and multiple other tricked out rigs, so It seems very possible. I'm pretty novice other than the t-maxx 3.3 that I have. Not used to the whole esc thing and bec. With the bec hooked up to the receiver would you be able control both steering servos? From what i've read on here the bec allows the steering servo to get the power it needs (also to power the receiver with the battery pack). Just not sure if I would need another bec as well. For a radio would the d3xe work or the d3xr? I forget which one is better lol.

I plan on putting 4ws on my honcho this winter. I think it will be pretty sweet, also gonna put a new body and some new tires.

because 4ws is badass, and is done in 1:1s all the time.

if you scope the electronics forum there are several threads showing wiring diagrams. I'd say it depends on how powerful of servos you're using. If you're running two high amp drawing servos you may want to run two becs to them individually.

Well I didn't buy it because of the scale factor. Just because it looks badass and like alot of fun. Plus I am going to be building it based around my jeep wrangler. Which isn't 4ws but would be sick! Plus it wouldn't be all the time, it would be switched on and off. When it worked it would be by a switch, least that's the plan. Thanks for the tip david, and country gotta post pics man, I'm deployed right now so won't be able to do the mod till I get back in april. Keep me updated on it bro!

Why don't someone do a "how to" on the 4 wheel steer?? I have searched on here but came back with nothing. Would be rather helpful to us "newbies"

Didn't the ax10 scorpion come with the knuckles for 4ws? I'm guessing LHS will have the parts to do it. I just picked up a mrc with 4ws but my buddy has lockouts for it. Incase you want to hit up some scale comps 4ws isn't allowed. Not really sure how it works with a pistol radio but there was a guy using a dx3s at our gtg the other day hitting the switch for the rear steer.

Yeah my sons AX10 was 4ws and I took all the stuff off! I could put it on the honcho I guess but dont really want to mess with it!

The two pins at the bottom here are shorter than the straight axle ones!

I have had 4 wheel steer on my scx10 since i bought it. It works really good to mess around with and turns incredibly sharp. i just made a simple lockout for comps.

my scx10 4ws exteded 55mm. taking it back to 25mm and adding 6x6 with front and rear axle steering. parts on order. using a new frame set connected with a chassis mounted servo for rear steer, also a 17.5 trintity brushless with a lrp crawler esc. crawls and still jumps a little with some speed. i have a post under project copperhead on this site. will have the 6x6 up by next weekend
