Default Stock honcho lights

I bought a rc4wd xr4 4 channel radio and was wanting to put the lights on the 3rd channel but when i plug it into the 3rd channel the lights still come on when you turn power to the truck on. Can these lights be hooked up to where you can turn them on/off with a switch or not? This is my first rc truck and I absolutely love it, thanks axial

You could put an in-line switch in the wiring harness to switch them that way. This was the way my Honcho came when I bought it used. As far as doing the switching with the radio idk.

you need a receiver controlled on/off switch.
put that between the receiver and you lightcontrol unit.

you need that because every channel on you receiver is always under volts. even when you channel is in idle position.
