Default SCX10 TR - how to control stock led lights controller via 4CH TX

Hi,

I have SCX10-TR. I use a Futaba 4PL 4CH radio and the 4CH S-FHSS receiver that came with the TX. I have connected the LED controller wire to CH3 on the receiver.

But If I switch CH3 on / off from the TX it doesnt affect the LEDs. LEDs are always on or always off based on the fact that if the ESC is on or off. I can't seem to control it via the TX.

Can anyone help me accomplish this please ?

You need a RX controlled on/off switch to do that. I am not sure how the TR version does it, are they always on or off? You need something like this:

yes its always on or off... like if i switch on the kit i.e. switch on the ESC... the lights turn on... and they will go off only when i switch off the ESC... even though the controler is connected to CH3 in receiver....

Okay, so if you want to switch them on/off from the TX you will need that switch that I posted.

Yep thats what you'll need and then you may need to adjust your EPA settings on your radio.. I just had to do this with a 4PK..

You could also go this route, and its a little cheaper

HAve you set your 3ch to 2 position? Then you also may have to set your EPA for 3ch to maximum number ( in my case with 3PKs is 120% )
Then it should be ok to control on/off via TX.
