Default Whats a good all around gear ratio (noob)

Hello,
First post on this site so i'm still tryng to learn my way around. Ive got a scx10 with 1.9 proline titus wheel with flat irons. Banzai 27t motor with a 14t pinion and 93t spur. I had an 87t spur which was fine but I wanted more torque. Now I get serious torque twist and the f/r wheels even comes off the ground! Would the underdrive gear set help me distribute this torque evenly? I'm trying to get it dialed in for running around hard rocks because it just tears up dirt and sedimentary rocks. LOL Any better suggestions?

You are geared pretty low already so the next step would be a higher turn motor if you want to crawl slow and have gobs of torque. I personally like the 35t motor geared 20/87 but it sounds like you want more crawling speed than trail speed so a 45t or 55t may work best for you. Some torque twist is inevitable in almost any type of crawler, even scalers, but really just a few suspension adjustments should get rid of most of it. That and put some weight in your front wheels/tires if you haven't yet. That will make a HUGE difference in torque twist and crawling capabilities and should be the first thing you do. It's an easy, free mod. Good luck with it .

Thanks. Yea. I got more weight in the front tires. Rears have about 4ish oz. I plan on getting a 35-45 turn motor. Once i learn how to resize photos i will post up pics.
