Default battery location?

I have my stock honcho kit set up right now for my batteries running a 6-cell. Looking to lower my CG. I've already thought about cutting the post but wondering if anyone has a better idea....

i just used the velcro straps to strap the battery horizontally across the frame behind the shock towers but infront of the motor. it works great

I cut the post today about 1/4" off the top going to try this out and see.

thats what i did for mine, and running a small lipo (i run 1300mah's) helps keep the weight from up top down.
