Default Rc4wd oem wheels

Just got set of rc4wd oem steel wheels for a bronco build I am doing. The problem I am having is I can not get the lip of the tire to fit inside the inner ring. I am using flatirons and seems that the lip is to thick so it makes it damn near impossible to get fuses seat right. What am I missing or do I need to get a diffent tire to work these wheels?

Those rims dont work well with anything but rc4wd tires. If u look at the bead on rc4wds tires they are real thin unlike the flat irons that are thick. The flat irons will work but its a pain in the butt and alot of work. hope this help..

you can also try cutting new inner rins from a 2 inch pvc pipe. the inner ring on the oem rims are exactly 1.9 inches, which means it barely fits the bead.

Mr Layton is correct. Those rims don't like Proline tires. RC4WD even has a little note at the bottom of the description saying just that.
Even RC4WD tires are hard to mount. The tutorial at the link they provide works pretty well but I never got it in 5 min. Good luck and post your solution when you get them mounted.

So I tried some 2in abs and it seemed to work alright. After many curse words I think I got it to work for now until I can get some new tires. Thanks for the help.

I was looking for some answers about these wheels before I buy. Anyone know if they will work with 1.9 rovers on a MRC?
