I'm going to go out on my own here, and say that I love this rig. Mostly for the name.

One of my favorite threads! In the top 3 for me. Love this bug and all the helpful tips from years of updates. If there is anyone that has not read this thread, you should!

Yes!
A few months ago I gave Melons some love... replaced the broken skid, rebuilt the PL PowerStroke shocks (filled with oil ), new bearings in the Pro4, and built a new interior with driver and passenger.

I haven't drove my rc's much this year... in fact, only out a few times before last weekend when I went to King Of The Guru's (only big comp I'm doing this year). I did compete in the first couple NWITTC comps but decided I just wasn't into it.

Anyway, first night of Guru's I took her out for a shakedown... she broke axle pins, stripped the front diff, and lost a few nuts and bolts!

I put her back together and rebuilt the front axle (new bearings and shims and used the old/worn HD OD gear set) and I took 3rd place in Class 2!

Not bad for an old rig and a guy that never drives!
