Wow, the G6 was rough!
We had 3 rigs DOA, including mine
Only 2 made it through and 1 didn't run at all.

Saturday night, my electronics worked perfect.
Sunday morning, the esc won't turn on!

I ended up pulling Heyok's winch controller from the rx and the esc turned on.
But, the on/off switch was not working. It would turn on when the battery was plugged in... good enough for the event.

2nd problem... I only test drove the truck around the living room after shortening the front wb. Mistake!

My drive shaft angle ended up being to steep and every half rotation, the trans side yolk was getting hung up.
During my run, the front shaft fell off 4 times! I fixed it on the trail 3 times with the clock running

It was worth it though, I ended up getting 3rd place and a nice prize!

I borrowed the spare from Neil, thanks man!
I really don't like the look of it on the hood but will run it when/if I have to.

Still haven't figured out why the receiver got unbound. I'm about ready to pitch all the Spektrum crap and go to Futaba.

I ran my FOFF rig for the first time last night with a Spektrum 3.0 and micro receiver... it was really glitchy.

I need to stop buying axles and tubers and invest in a couple of good esc's.

I bought the 4pl a few months ago and really like it!
Every thing about it is better than my base model Spectrum.

I really only got the 3.0 for the micro rx, to put in my micro sct when I went BL with it... but I almost never run that thing.

We had another TTC yesterday, I came in last

My front axle kept popping off!
As soon as I got home, I ordered Axial Clockable C's.
I'm going to extend my wheel base and get some larger tires

Front drive shaft... I think I meant to type front axle drive shaft

The Traxxas yolk kept coming off the shaft's ears during high torque. I tried 2 brand new shafts during the comp... both failed multiple times. The MIP's in the rear had no problems.

In this pic that Mega Fattie took, you can see the front is dead.

I'm going to give up on my scale wb and push the front out some. With the clocakable c's and longer wb the MIP's should do the trick. Then some taller tires... that's should fix things.

I've decided to name her Buxom Melons
I found this image in New Orleans. We went down there after Katrina... and this image just sort of... spoke to me

Now I just have to figure out how to get it on the doors... like a sponsor's logo.

I uploaded a couple of more videos on page one.

Im realy lovong the rig.

Dont think you said, but I asume the body is a T-Max sized body? I dont have my SCX dingo yet:( so I dontknow the wheel base.... (suposidly in the mail.)

for the logos, if you could find someone with with an Alps printer you could make water slide decals on it...
cant remember the exact modle #, but Alps makes the only one that can print white! (& then you have to trick the printer to do so.)

Thanks Airdreams,
The body is the old T-Max size, short chassis... but now that I've extended the wb to 12.75", I want to get the E-Revo, long chassis body. And that kinda sucks because I bought a 2nd short body when I screwed up the paint

ok, updates:
extended wb to 12.75"
MIP Drive Shafts
2.2" Proline TSL Super Swampers
2.2" Eritex beadlocks
HH BR-XL
Intigy 45T motor!

As you can see, I made several changes. The motor came w/a AX10 roller I bought a while back.
I'm happy to report that on 3s, 1st gear was great and 2nd gear was fast enough I think.
I think I'll leave this combo in here till the motor burns out.
I want to try it on 4s and maybe even 6s to help me decide on which HH motor to get.

I am happy that someone, THZero, got to see just how fast the bug was with the vxl. I opened it while we were at the park and he was pretty suprised at the top end speed. I never get out of 1st gear during the comps... I guess I will be able to use both gears during comps now

My Pit Bull's showed up Sat... which I was happy about but, they wouldn't fit on the dang RC4WD OEm's either!
So I took the TSL's, that I spent about 4hrs mounting, off the new wheels and mounted the Pit Bulls. They worked great in today's comp

I installed all my scale stuff for the comp, even a little Tamiya Sand Scorcher driver.
We did 2 courses today, the first I ran the spare on the hood, the 2nd, I left the spare off and performed much better.
Actually, I got 3rd in both runs so not that much better.. no roll overs the 2nd run though!

I also went with my lightest 3s lipo for the first time... less weight is a good thing.
