Default Questions.

I have searched and searched but still have a couple questions.

I recall seeing a picture on this website of a guy who was using the stock 4-link truss and Traxxas Links. I have a ton of aluminum traxxas links and was wondering what size he used but can't find the picture anymore.

I am definitely going to do the 4-link since my Honcho took a little roll and ended up breaking the plastic triangle link piece. I ordered the stock plastic truss.

Do you guys think Traxxas Big Bore shocks would be good and what wieght shock oil do you guys typically use in the shocks?

i run big bores in mine with 30wt. oil and they work great. it gives you a little more ride height. for sure on the 4link front and back, i noticed a huge improvement with that set up. i used the BENDER CUSTOM servo plate in the front and rear , put on different rod ends and was able to use the stock links.

I own all Traxxas Monster Trucks and I have a HPI Blitz. This is my first crawler, so I am a little unsure of set-ups. I have Traxxas Big Bores that will go on the truck tonight. I am just waiting on the Truss.

106mm links, same as the lowers for use with the plastic axial 4-link truss

I used big bores on my scx, and to limit the length i threw the rubber part from the scx shox inside the big bores... worked perfect!

The shocks only look about 1/4" longer, can't you just gain that in travel instead of limiting it?
