Default Traxxas titan 12t motor

Last night I swapped out the stock 27t motor out of my scaler and put in a traxxas titan 12t I had laying around. I run the new axial receiver, traxxas 2075 digital servo, traxxas xl-5 esc, stock transmission, spur and pinion gear.

I run either a 6 or 7 cell NIMH battery.

Do I have anything to worry about running this set up??? Will the 12t be bad for the diff gears or do other excessive damage to the rc?

Mine runs fine with this set up, it really helps having the extra power getting out of the mud

Does it seem like the stock pinion gear wont slide all the way on the output shaft of the motor. The pinion is only like 3/4 of the way on the spur gear. I ran it that way last night in my back yard with no issues but i am just checking.

Damn I forgot about running a heat sink... I've got the Titan 12t running on the Traxxas XL-5 ESC... It does get a lil warm but never over heats. Heat sink would be a wise idea though.
