battery location?

I have my stock honcho kit set up right now for my batteries running a 6-cell. Looking to lower my CG. I've already thought about cutting the post but wondering if anyone has a better idea....

i just used the velcro straps to strap the battery horizontally across the frame behind the shock towers but infront of the motor. it works great
