Crawled yesterday to test it out and works even better than before, slightly lower cog helps. Put the stock X brace back in the bed cage, it just looks better to me.

On to the pics!

You gotta stop letting me drive your gofast stuff....lol! Brushless Savage was insane fun.

Oops...I bought a Wraith! Can't decide how fast/slow a motor I need with my 3s for it though.

Yes the tires are on the rock...made the sidehill. Cut up kit Flat Irons with stock foams and a little weight.

Stock aluminum front lower links are becoming self bent high clearance links after the last outing, need to get something stronger in there!

Went out to Folsom Lake today and had a great time, stayed for hours! Forgot my dang batteries and luckily a friend loaned me a hardcase 5200mah 2s lipo which lasted the whole 4 hours! It definitely wheels alot better on sidehills and steep climbs with 1300mah 3s due to the weight and more wheelspeed.

Time for Honcho revamp! I don't like how the cab looks so wide and bulky any suggestions for a good body? I've been looking at sectioning out 35mm at rear of cab to make it a standard cab and sliding the bed forward the same amount but not sure. Also the rear bed brace would be right in line with the rear axle and rubbing the tire during flex. Heat gun might fix that.

I want to run high steer knuckles and have been looking at the VP 8 degree knuckles and chubs, can I run them with the servo on the axle? How much of a widener would I need to clear stock Axial Honcho beadlocks? I'd like to keep any spacers to a minimum.

Cuttin up the bed, going to do the rear like a rollbar with a down tube each side from the front main hoop to the bed side tubes. Like on my Wraith here: Natedog's Wraith Kit Build now with Cage Mods

Playing with spare parts, bumper ideas

Trying to get my high-steer setup with all Axial clockable aluminum c-hubs and highsteer knuckles.

I didn't buy the VP high steer setup for my Honcho, but I'm still having some trouble with my Axial setup since the steering arms are shorter than the stock arms and the tie-rod hits the front of the axle housing too soon to get really good steering even with CVDs. Also seems the tie-rod must go under the arms or I can't run axle mounted servo?

Little cage mods tonight, lost 22 grams off the top of the cage and I like the look much better.

Spacers to go in top main hoop holes

Making new down tubes

Top of downtubes mounted, marked and ready to drill lower holes in outer bed hoop. Upper mounts used some Axial 3x30mm flat head self-tapping screws and cut them down to 25mm.

Little heat gun action and new tubes bent and screwed together. Lower end of tubes attached with Axial 3x18 buttonhead self-tappers.

That's the bed mods for now, going to test and then may bob about 18mm off the rear lower part of bed. Need to get my Axial hi-steer setup worked out, anybody got pics of how their's worked out, tie-rod length etc?
