If you do this mod to the steering axle you could loose steering effectivness. Depends on how much length you add to your top link. Won't effect the rear axle cause it doesn't steer in this case.

Lengthing the top links will straighten out the driveline up front but your steering knuckles will be "turning into the ground" (negative caster), thus loosing some steering effectivness. The knuckle arms need to be parallel to the ground or kicked back (positive caster) some.

Of course, all things are relative. If your steering into the ground a bit and you don't mind it than your good to go!

Your mod will only help the angle at the axle pinion, not the transmission output angle. Like others have said, I wouldn't recommend it on the front. It's not going to decrease wear and tear on the driveshafts enough to justify the time. Where it will help is the rear axle's approach over obstacles. It will lessen hang-ups on the pinion part of the axle housing.

Most will agree the better mod would have been to install a four link and CMS while you had those 3-links off.

At least you are thinking of, and trying modifications to your rig.

Crappy mod. It's only good with afternarket chubs so you can fix your steering angle which you destroyed in your mod. Junk.

That's pretty harsh. What Mod did you come up with?
