Default Pinion Question

I have a Dingo TR with a Tekin FXR and 35t motor. I'm using a 3000mah 20c 3s lipo. Everything else is stock. I noticed that my esc gets a little warm with this setup. It has the 20t pinion and stock spur gear. What pinion is good for this setup to keep temps down? I've ordered an Axial 14t. Will that be sufficient?

With 3s and a 35 turn motor, 14 tooth pinion will work very good. And it will keep the esc and motor cooler then with the 20 tooth. I use that same setup and it is a great combo.

WRONG!!!! 20T is the STOCK pinion on SCX-10 RTR trucks. Only the kit comes with a 14T pinion.
