So my quarter panel guards were just hot-glued on.. they fell off after like 1 tumble down those rocks so i will find something better. i decided to see what the body looks like on my other chassis. it is honcho wheelbase pretty much. i like how it looks on this wheelbase so i decided i am definitely going to extend the rear links on my dingo. the fronts seem okay. |

so ive seen pics (and tried myself once on a drift body) of using sharpie on door lines and panel lines to make them look more real. but i tried lots of thicknesses of sharpie on scrap body pieces i had and they all looked to thick. its like going from too thin of body lines to too thick. which looks worse IMO. so here's the alternative i came up with (granted this will only work on EXTERIOR painted bodies) take a razor blade to the small lines between doors and hood and what not. dont press too hard, but hard enough to penetrate a couple layers of paint. i think it looks pretty good! also you can see here my first couple scratches that got through to the rust, then in the 2nd pic got through only to the metal. you can really see the lines here on the hood. im very pleased with how it turned out. so i found something that i think will work for the quarter panel "guards." they will no longer be real "guards," but they will look like them! haha black vinyl sticker sheet. (from cricut.. yeah.. i have a cricut.. dont judge me) trace the originals onto the vinyl, cut out, and stick on! super simple and they LOOK GREAT! on the cherokee |

Man that decal stuff looks ok, but I was able to make "real" guards out of some thin gauge metal sheet. I found an old cookie tin that had plenty of material to make a bunch of corner guards. Hit me up if you're interested in seeing a pic of the ones I made. I actually riveted mine onto the body. |

id love to see it. i like the vinyl because i didn't want to rivet or bolt mine on. i couldn't find screws small enough/strong enough to look scale. did you find some small enough?

Thats a really sick Cherokee you got there the proline body is great, though i would prefer the new bright, but it was a time saver. Not as much fitting for the proline, yet with enough work it turns out almost the same as the new bright. Those new bright bodies are pretty tough though, my lr3 took a good beating, and is still in top shape. I love my proline though. Was an easy but fun build

im not really sure as to what you are asking, but the cherokee is velcro'd to the interior. the interior is secured to the chassi with body posts and pins. is that what you mean? |

After riveting the corner guards on, I just dabbed some black paint on them. They're barely noticeable and very functional! | |

those look way cool man! very 1:1esque so i extended my rear links to honcho wheelbase length. it fits in the wheelwells much better now. i'm in love with rig. BEFORE AFTER it actually extended the wheels to closer to the rear of the wheel wells. so i trimmed out the rear of the wheel wells about 1/4" |

if any of you have tried to run a 3racing winch off 3s lipos, you've probably run into the problem i did. they are only rated for 2s lipos. i fried the control board (with the little button) for the winch. So i used a spare servo as a control board. I removed the servo motor wires and hooked them up to the power wires to my 3racing winch. this way i dont need the winch spliced directly into the battery power supply. instead you just plug the servo plug into the RX and viola.. you have a 3rd channel controllable 3racing winch, without the messy wiring and clumsy control board that comes with the winch. |

got some yummy goodies off the classifieds. i'm done fighting with the stock esc and radio. i've swapped to my other FASST tx/rx for both rigs. btw if any of you are fighting with the stock radio of the axials.. ditch it.. it's not worth it. get a spektrum or futaba. so much better. and no headaches. |

Took the little xj to the coolest place ever! LITTLE MOAB! for those unfamiliar with it, it's about 3.5 hours away from the real Moab, ut. It is like Moab 4x4 trails condensed into a little package. its obstacle after obstacle. super fun for 1:1 and scalers. go there on any given weekend and you'll see a couple 1:1 tubers, weekend warriors, RZR's, drinkers, campers, some scalers and comp crawlers. tons of fun here's some pics of the outing. get ready for a photo-dump this is probably my fav below paint scratches and roll cage wish the pics were a little bigger.. flicker is dumb |

the torque-master is pretty bomb. just as good in every way as my fxr. the kicker for the br-xl is that it has an amazing drag brake. it will stall my 7lb rig on a vertical wall haha.
