Thank you for the Vanquish dig tip! I really didn't want the HR one. Wraith parts are coming out faster than I can keep up with, this is a part of the reason I'm holding off on alot of hop-ups for now.

I think the 2wd-4wd thing will be alot of fun. What I didn't consider at first was what about the front diff locked. Anyone know what a line lock is? The 2wd burnout video will be awesome! Anyone running a wraith trans with dig could do this, I'm glad you like the idea and have fun trying it yourself.

A line lock is an electronic solenoid that holds brake pressure.

You wire it into the line for the front brakes only.
Push on the brakes and hold while you push the line lock button.
Let off the brakes and the rear brakes unlock.
Perform your burnout.
The front brakes stay locked until you let go of the button.

The front diff doesn't matter. Open diff or locked diff the results would be the same right?

In 2wd you would do a nice burnout. In 4wd you would overcome your brakes.

Hmmm, I was thinking dig had rear axle freewheel(2wd on the front) rear axle engaged(4 wheel drive) and rear axle locked. If it drags the rear tires(locked) for tight turns I assumed when on the front the back tires would try to push the (locked) fronts. I thought dig locked the driveshaft to the axle. Anybody?

in 1:1 wheeling, running in 2wd until you get stuck usually makes for a worse stuck. In this case, that can mean way more fun!

I see what you are getting at, the locked diff will make your front end act like both front brakes are engaged. Yes you are correct.

With an open diff it will do the same thing because both front tires will not be able to spin forward. Unless, the truck starts to pivot around one front tire, then the truck will spin in a circle. This is because the locked driveshaft holds the ring gear, the spider gears in the diff can spin but only by one tire turning forward and one tire turning backward.

I was getting ready to order the vanquish dig for a 2/4wd conversion, but it is only available with the old driveshaft connection method, and not the new style (Mine is converted to the new style). I emailed them, they do not have plans as of now to support the new style SCX10 trans.

Hi everyone, time to post where I am at with the truck. Been working on the back now, used Wraith shock mounts and a piece of Wraith cage to make a new spare tire mount. Also started on my roof top light bracket.

I am making little plates to mount to the shock towers(Wraith) and will put some decals to race it up a bit. They will cover the usightly holes.
