The more I look at this build. The closer my wraith gets to becoming a parts donor to a rig inspired by this. My hat is off to you sir!! Hurry up and get done so we can see this in action!!! |

Thanks guys! Sorry for the slowness of the build, goes that way sometimes when doing something new. That hole in the middle where the Dig goes is seriously holding me back. Axial! I know it's not for everyone but it has been fun to play "what else can I use from the Wraith kit" lol. Glad a few of you like how it's turning out so far, got lots of hop ups to install still(been collecting, He He). Truck could have gone on the Wraith forum, way more Wraith parts on the truck than Scx, was a little worried about opinions on cutting up a Wraith on that forum though. |

Got my front shocks on backwards here, remote resevoirs have to point forward. Nice shot of the firewall though, no feet to be seen. |

Bottom view of cms, no bump steer, pretty happy considering its store bought for a Wraith, just lengthened the servo rod 1/2 inch. Xr-10 rod ends used with steel Axial balls. |

Really happy I left the front of the body "long", would have looked silly if cut right below the grill. |

I'm a little undecided on this, definately different though. Pure fluke that they lined up with the width of the Honcho bed rails. Tires clear at full articulation and I think it will look even better with the bed in place. |

Any idea on the paint job? I can't get over how awesome this. This is way out of the box and I don't think anyone could say anything bad about this build. Major props to you

The funny thing is my name "Mechanic" suits me, there is a reason I didn't call myself "Painter", I suck at that! Seriously though all I vision for a paint job is something simple yet "racy", thinkin white or gunmetal. I would love some ideas though. I have my "sponsor" decals already, although not much of a sponsor, had to buy my own decals along with everything else!lol. I hope to nail a unique look, but that you'll have to wait for as I usually leave the painting till last, especially with the amount of custom fitting required on this truck.

I think gunmetal would be awesome on this truck and maybe some matte white stripes that way you get both colors you want and it will look racy like you want. And I personally think its a great color combo. But it is your build so do what you want just giving my two cents. But now I need to get in gear and start wrenching on my honcho!

Gunmetal sounds pretty fitting for a truck like this.

Very nice. I usually dont get in to truggy style trucks...if that's what you can even consider this? But this truck looks awesome IMO. Great work man. |
