|  What shock oil weight are you running?
I have been having a tough time trying to find the best shock oil and spring combination to allow my scx10 to articulate well. Right now with my set up, I'm finding the rear wheels to lift off the ground when I go over rocks. I am running the proline powerstroke scaler shocks with 40wt oil in all 4. I want to know what you guys would recommend I do.. Also was thinking about wheel weights. Would that help to? If so, how much?

I would add around 3oz in each front and about 1.5 in each back wheel... as a starting point. I have no weight in my rear wheels and they lift but not too bad, I will add some weight next time I break the tires down. You might be fine with the heavier oil depending on your springs, I'm not sure. I run 30 wt in my axial shocks and that seems about right. You need to test and tune and make only one change at a time so you know what works and what doesn't. Good luck. |

im running 15 weight on axial alumuinm shocks. rears layed all the way forward fronts all the way back. 5" of flex without lifting another tire off the ground

What weight oil comes stock in the SCX10 honco TR, anyone know? I was thinking of trying out a different weight but I'm not sure what's in it now for comparison...

I wouldn't suggest using motor oil in your shocks... I think it would actually be thicker and heavier than a silicone based shock oil and probably wouldn't work worth a $h1t.... I use Team Associated 25wt shock oil on my stock Axial SCX shocks. Seems to work pretty well. I also have RC4WD 100mm scaler shocks and I use 30wt oil in those. They perform exceptionally well! It's all about personal preference I guess but usually a 25-35wt oil is good. |

I have 40 wt in my powerstrokes seem a little stiff but to lazy to change it atm.

My truck is pretty heavy, and I'm sure most of you will think I'm crazy but I run 70 in the stock shocks. One of my favorite events at scale comps though is the hill climbs and higher speed events. Lighter weight oil just couldn't keep the truck from bouncing like a tennis ball at speed. Comps here seem to be going towards a faster style of course, and TTC also favors stable, faster trucks over slow moving, articulating trucks. Your best bet is to pick up a pack with a bunch of different weights, and experiment, experiment, experiment  |

I’I’m a newbie myself. I put 50 wt in my stock shocks and it’s way too heavy going to 30 wt next time and hoping for the best

I run 30wt up front 27.5 in rear, stock axial scx10 shocks. Always worked well for me, I also run little to no weight with great results.

none... i only have coated the inside of my dampers with oil but did not fill them. works perfectly for me.
