Default Stock honcho question

With the esc that comes with the rtr, can I run a lipo battery like say... A 3s battery right out of the box or will I need to program the esc for lipo? Or will it even run lipo?

the stock ESC is only rated for 2s, but many people run 3s on them with no issues. but at the same time, a people burn them up running 3s as well

but no programming is needed; it has a built in lipo cutoff and will recognize that you're plugging in a 3s
