Dang man, that thing stays planted on the rocks in that first video! And that pull pal is really impressive! Looks like it can certainly take a beating! |

| Re: The Crawl Space Poi Pounda Depending on the placement you can either screw them into the chassis rails/ladder supports or zip tie them. A quick update sans pictures. I finally scored a decent brushless set-up for this rig at the recent swap meet at the shop, CC Mamba Max Pro ESC and Tekin redline 21.5 sensored motor im very happy with the set up and how the truck performs. The brushless does lag slightly in some binds, but a quick throttle stab and it cut the wheels loose no sweat. |

I decided to revamp the Poi Pounda to be more "trail ready" but still retain its Island roots. I went back n forth about making it a truggy or bob the bed and in the end the bed won out. I didn't have time to snap build pics but I do have some end result pics and some tech to go with it. I cut the bed back as far as I could to increase the departure angle and added a bed rack to fill out the back and legnthened the wheelbase to bring it to a respectable 12.75" stance. I attempted a chassis mount servo but the geometry wasn't working out quite right so replaced the axle housing cut some new beef toobs and ran some longer screws thru the servo plate and into the mounting posts on the axle to try and lessen the steering twist, the Hitec 7990 can push alot of power I did do the "AXR" steering mod and with the over/under diff gear this rig is turning on a dime Also added a servo winch to handle the trucks 13+ lbs girth Some action shots. The truck was already handling great before the revamp, just wasn't getting the reach and steering I wanted. The longer wheelbase and steering mod did the trick and the rig is working even better Added some more rock lights for effect. I did limit the rear shocks with some bump stops to prevent the tires from getting into the fenders and rear bumper too much and possibly binding. |

Great job. Mods look great and look like you planned them well. Increase in wheelbase is always nice. And you reduced body parts sticking out...that's the way to make it work offroad. Sucker is a big fat pig at 13.5 pounds. You should bury it and cook it |
