| Smoothest 90-95mm Oil Shocks?
My stock SCX10 shocks finally have had it...when I went to change oil on them last week one of them barely had any left! No wonder it was so bouncy! When I built them very carefully I even used RTV to seal the lower cartridge and let all 4 sit overnight to cure. I guess the shaft must have caught onto some small debris and tore either the gasket or some of the RTV. I'm looking at 3 options as replacements: 1. Proline PowerStrokes 6060's $70 shipped 2. GMade Team Zero's $50 shipped 3. GMade XD Aeration's $52 shipped I've only used PowerStrokes on my short course rigs and they do tend to leak a little but other than that they are very smooth. I used the GMade Zero's on my High Lift but I never put them through any torture tests... Never tried the new Aeration's but they look pretty cool. Any options from those of yall currently using any of these 3? Thanks!! |

I just put the new xd piggyback shocks from GMade on my scx10. They look and perform to meet my standards. I Haven't used the ones that you have listed below Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2 |

Ahhh yea forgot about the xd piggybacks! Are the GMade shocks still prone to leaking issues or have they fixed it? The Team Zeros would always leak no matter how many times I rebuilt them!

I have always loved the powerstrokes you get what you pay for with them eventhough they are most up front.

The upgraded Axial aluminum shock bodies(if you can find them),some aftermarket o-rings, and some Associated Green Slime during assembly make for some really nice scale shocks. |

I would say just get the aluminum bodies for the SCX10 shocks and a rebuild kit. It is $11 for two Alum bodies on TCS. I just like the axail shock and there cheap.

So many projects....so little time lol. If I use some Losi CC 4" that would work too and I've never had any 3 sets of mine leak at all. One goes on my KOH 10 pound banger rig, one on my sporty, and last set on my Wraith. Problem is the Losi's throw off that scale look and I'd have to limit them down....I'm 60% leaning on Powerstrokes and 40% leaning on the Gmade XD piggybacks! |

Yup I just watched GMade's video on how to build them and how they function....now on a 1.9 rig you'd want the 93mm and on a 2.2 you'd go for the 103mm right?

| Re: Smoothest 90-95mm Oil Shocks? I was thinking about picking up a set of these as well. The price is decent, and they look amazing. Hopefully they perform just as well.

In the vendors section there's a dude selling some scx10 shock bodies made To use big bore shock seal on the bottom of the body. Keep the scale size and have a reliable shock. But they're like 56$ for just shock bodies |

| Re: Smoothest 90-95mm Oil Shocks? Yup I've seen those...they are targeted for comp rigs like the XR. I'm really leaning on getting the Powerstrokes now since I can't find the GMade XD piggybacks 93mm anywhere!!

you lose a lot of travel with the proline powerstroke compared to the stock shocks put thim next to each other and compress them and see the difference

My honcho had a set of hr internal spring shocks when I got it and they were terrible but after I had them off and on 100 times lubed um up a little and cut and tuned(heated) the springs I am very Happy with the performance and looks of them it did take a lot of trial and error
