yah that wwould be the problem if i bought a combo... what turn to get having not used either i would probaly want a 35 or 45 to get a little more wheelspeed. currently is a 55 and it great for crawling..... but a lil more wheel speed wont hurt anyone!

Still...at six volts my servo gets like 350oz (or somewhere around there) which is really fine. I just like to get all the torque I can. Also, the 6 volts from the BRXL is more than built in BEC's in other ESC's. It's going to be a personal preferrence. Do you need the external BEC? No. | |

I messed with brushed for awhile on my Scx10 any sucsess was more effort than it was worth and short lived. I went with a Velineon and a Novak 21.5 brushless. Zero problems and no maintenance so far.

| Re: Snow's Honcho Build (on a budget) I wouldn't do a combo unless he has just what you want and it's cheaper together. It's not like they're matched in a special way or anything. If you're happy with your current speed, stick with the same motor. If you're getting a new ESC, try to find a BRXL. If they're out of stock and you can't get yours repaired...an FXR is probably the next best thing.

Oh, and if you didn't notice, Holmes posted he'd have a very small batch of BRXL's coming back in stock on or around the 12th. Otherwise you'll have to wait until May. Keep your eyes open.

Well that sucks. I'm sorry. I sold my back up FXR Saturday after I ordered the BRXL otherwise I'd sell it to you. I gotta have a backup with three comp rigs. Keep an eye out in the classifiedes section. Periodically someone is selling one.

hey snow why dont you just waterproof the mmp? the video i saw of the guy using the liquid elec. tape seemed pretty easy to do. just make sure you dont spray the wrong areas lol. and it looked good with the clear tape. could always be an option

Yeah I bet there's a way to do it! The MMP has a fan doesn't it? I bet you could even ditch that. I'd just do some research, some has done it...or at least made it very water "resistant".

Hey Snow, did you get the MMP waterproofed? You could just stick it in a balloon for the comp... you gotta make it to Roselle though, it's so much fun out there. |

I just bought the eiger from novak. I effing love it. Its super smooth, has setups for bashing and crawling, drag brake, frequency adjustment, built in bec with provisions for an external one if necessary and a footprint the size of a u.s. quarter. Its not waterproof, but planning on a radio shack project box for all the electronics. All this for a hundy. By the way, earlier someone said certain tires could disqualify a truck for comps. What tires could result in this? Im running panther cougar 2.2's and really dont wanna go back to my flat iron 2.2's.
